Van, TX: Barbara Joy Lacy, 93, passed away peacefully at her home in Van, TX, on July 7, 2025.
Barbara was born July 10, 1931, in Pawnee, MO, to parents Joseph Everett Johnston and
Marjorie Ellen Blake.
Barbara met her husband, Parnell Lacy, in Eagleville, MO, and they were married in Billings,
MT, in 1947. They celebrated 64 years together.
Barbara leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and devotion to her family. She will
be greatly missed.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Parnell (2012), son Neil Lacy (2024).
Barbara is survived by her daughter Teresa Jeter (Steve), granddaughters Angela Seiber
(shane), Lisa Hickman (Jake), KayCee James (Greg), six grt grandchildren, one grt grt
grandson.
Barbara will be laid to rest next to Parnell Lacy in the Payne Cemetery, Harrison Co, MO.
