Blythedale, MO: A Blythedale woman suffered burns when her home exploded in flames Friday morning on Birch Street in northeastern Blythedale. Kathy Smith, 66, who lives at the residence, was taken to the University of Kansas Medical Center for treatment of her injuries, according to Sheriff Trevor Place.
