Harrison County, MO: Two weeks ago, a pregnant mother called her ambulance service complaining of labor pains.
Ashley Herring called the Grand River Ambulance district, but the call was rerouted to Noel T. Adams ambulance in Bethany, which was helping with overflow. As soon as the call came in, two EMS workers sprang into action. With flashing lights and sirens blaring, the ambulance took off, heading out of town.
