Honored at Hannibal festival

Bethany, MO: John and Marcia Whitt, owners of the Bent Tree Gallery southeast of Bethany, were named Best of Show at the Hannibal Folklife Festival. The show was sponsored by the Hannibal Arts Council. The Whitts won in the artist category of fiber and wood from the Best of Missouri Hands. They demonstrated their brooms, baskets and walking sticks, with Marcia demonstrating how she makes brooms.--Submitted photos
