Bethany, MO: The Bethany Area Chamber of Commerce elected its new officers for 2024 last Tuesday at its luncheon meeting in the Chamber of Commerce office. Jake Taylor, right, will be the president; Lauren Eivins, second from right, will be the treasurer; Tanya Thomas, middle, will be the secretary, and Larry Knapp, left will be vice president. Knapp, who recently moved here from Mound City, said he plans to open a bait shop in Bethany. Current president, Brian Carter, led the discussion about past and upcoming events. Among the first activities will be the summer ball league opening day on April 28 and the Rotary biscuits and gravy breakfast the local ball teams on May 4 at the South Harrison Middle School.--Republican-Clipper photo
