New Hampton, MO: Investigators from the State Fire Marshal’s Office were on the scene of an explosion and fire at a house on northwest New Hampton at about 8 p.m. Sunday night. Firemen at the scene said six people, including three firefighters who suffered smoke inhalation, were taken to hospitals in Bethany and New Hampton. The firemen were released after treatment at the hospitals The explosion from a propane tank could be heard at least five miles away.
