Nature’s clean-up crew arrives

Bethany, MO: A large committee of buzzards gathered recently on the Bethany water tower before heading off to their evening roosting spots somewhere in a heavy growth of timber. The water tower sets high on the town’s ridge next to Big Creek with favorable winds that seem to provide easy soaring of the skies and an excellent overlook for the birds. Buzzards often continue to congregate in the same place night after night but also year after year.--Republican-Clipper photo
