
Bethany veteran: Kenny Everly, who lives in the Daily Addition, holds his World War II Army picture while preparing to observe Veterans Day. Everly was training in the Pacific for the U.S. invasion of Japan when the atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima, ending the war before he was slated to embark on a troop ship.
This year’s Veterans Day, which comes 70 years after the end of World War II, has a special meaning for Bethany vet Kenny Everly.
