Tea party: The “Mad Hatter” Amy Chandler hands out treats to Emma Eastin at her Alice In Wonderland-themed booth at the Scare on the Square on Friday afternoon in downtown Bethany. Hundreds of kids took part in the procession around the square where they received candy at the event sponsored by the Bethany Area Chamber of Commerce. Emma was dressed as “Flo” from Progressive Insurance.
Rain, which had threatened all afternoon, held off until the final trick of treaters had finished their rounds Friday during the Bethany Chamber of Commerce Scare on the Square.
