KANSAS CITY, MO: Orval W. Groves, born October 22, 1916 near Mt. Moriah, Harrison County, Missouri, left this life at age 101 on March 2, 2018.
Orval was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Ruth, infant child Wayne Eldon, parents H.M. and Pearl Groves, brothers Vernal and Lawrence and sister Geraldine. Orval is survived by son Richard (Mavis), grandsons Jordan and Jason (Megan) and great-grandchildren, Andrew and Lauren.
A Memorial Celebration of Life with Military Rites will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 10 at Second Baptist Church, 300 E Kansas St, in Liberty, MO under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. The family will receive friends from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Saturday at the church. Memorials may be made to the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery Maintenance Fund in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O.
