Bob Gene Hartman, (SSG, USA, Ret.) was born on January 8, 1957 to Robert Lee and Elsie Colleen (Wright) Hartman in the home at Mount Moriah, Mo., with Dr. Probst attending. He joined sister Cristy Elaine and later brother Richard Wayne was added to the family.

Bob graduated from South Harrison High School in 1976 and in July entered the army, with boot camp at Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo. He was a heavy equipment operator and instructor. In 1977, while stationed in South Korea, he met and married the love of his life, KumSook. To this union was born one daughter, Annie.

After retiring from the army, Bob and family moved to Woodbridge, Va., where he worked in construction. His favorite hobby was fishing.

Bob was preceded in death by his younger brother, Rick, and his parents, Bob and Dutch Hartman.

He is survived by wife, KumSook of the home and daughter, Annie and her husband in Germany. He is also survived by a sister Cristy Elaine (Jimmie) Clark of Bethany, and nephews Matthew (Lisa) Covey and their daughter Krysta, Altoona, Iowa, and Daniel Covey of Des Moines, Iowa.

Bob passed away February 5, 2018. Services and burial were in Woodbridge, Va., on February 9, 2018.
