Building art: The old IOOF building, which collapsed earlier this year, has been incorporated into a mural that is being painted by Kelly Poling on the east wall of Etta May’s Corner on East Main Street. Poling, a well-known muralist from Chillicothe, also painted the Babe Adams mural across the street on the Green Hills Insurance building. Poling used a historical photo of the block of businesses southeast of the Square to recreate the scene from the early part of the past century. The mural was commissioned by the Bethany Community Foundation.
Poling said he expects to complete the mural by the end of the week.
