Bethany police were called to the Westwood Apartments after receiving a report that a man had violated an order of protection. When an officer arrived, the man was standing on the front porch of his estranged wife’s apartment with a .357 magnum revolver in his hand. The man then turned the gun on himself and took his life. The 32-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to authorities.
